ROLE DESCRIPTION

For our R&D department we wish to add a creative 3D technologist who will work on the upcoming innovations in real-time & pre-rendered graphics, computer vision, augmented reality and more. We’re looking for people with OpenGL(ES) and OpenCV experience who won’t turn down a challenging GLSL shader and know how to make the results look fantastic.

 

You’ll be working closely with our development team which will develop your innovations into full-fledged solutions for our clients, and with our CG studio to collaborate on who to create the pipelines to support new features.

 

Examples of projects you might work cover topics such as: building a tool to re-upholster furniture based on renders and/or photography, measuring the size of a room with a device’s gyroscope, building a photorealistic real-time rendering engine, building a 3D scanning CG asset pipeline.

 

As a 3D technologist, you will help to produce the innovations and breakthroughs necessary to scale with the growth of INDG and to stay ahead of the leading edge of the technology curve. We’re looking for senior professionals who are flexible and can work both independently and in larger teams.

Development of rendering code, shaders and visual (e.g. post-processing) effects to achieve the highest possible graphic quality of our software

Work with the development team to incorporate innovative technology in our applications and frameworks

 

Performance optimizations, for both the CPU and GPU constrained parts of algorithms

 

Work on asset workflows and automation needed to support any new technology

Excellent knowledge of GPU architectures and OpenGL(ES), WebGL, Shader(GLSL/HLSL) and related topics. With enough knowledge to be able to also develop these for mobile devices.

 

Experience with Computer Vision and algorithms (e.g. OpenCV, Matlab, etc.)

 

Math-level to support all your 3D code. At a level where you would be able to build from scratch your own rendering engine including world/local transforms, ray-casting, octrees, etc.

Advantageous Skills:

 

Knowledge of Unity3D/C#

 

Knowledge of Javascript/AS3/HTML5/WebGL

 

Application development for mobile platforms

 

Working knowledge of GPU rendering pipelines and how to take advantage of both mobile and desktop graphics processors to achieve high quality

 

Affinity with 3DS Max and MAXScript/automation

 

Experience with Augmented Reality techniques (SLAM/feature-tracking, etc.)
